Alex Rider was a book series about a teenage spy trying to adapt his life from being a spy and still being a teenager. Now with this IMDB TV series, they plan to adapt it better than the 2006 film. The last time they tried to adapt Alex Rider was the movie in 2006, and since that did not do well, they decided to adapt the second book, Point Blank. The story of Alex Rider begins with him being recruited by MI6 after finding them hiding the death of his uncle, Ian Rider, who worked for them secretly. They then blackmail Alex to do a mission for them. In this case, it is to go to a school in the French Alps known as Point Blanc and figure out if anything strange is going on at the school. The acting in this series is phenomenal. Otto Farrant plays a very believable Alex Rider, someone who just wants to live his own life. Stephen Dillane as Alan Blunt was a phenomenal choice, as his acting is very true to the character from the books. Ronke Adekoluejo as Jack Starbright does a good job as Alex’s caretaker, and Brenneck O’Connor does a great job as Tom Harris, Alex’s friend. In short, the actors all did a good job with what they were given. The villain is although generic in his plan, still very threatening.

Overall, Alex Rider does a good job of telling the story of Point Blank well and is fun from beginning to end. The only thing to complain about is the lack of gadgets in this one. Alex Rider gets a 9/10.
