The Steve from Minecraft presentation for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that took place on Saturday had many different parts to it that were important to note. Here’s some of the highlights for Steve’s presentation.

  1. Steve’s complex crafting system.

Steve can dig on any part of the stages and get materials. Depending on the stage, the materials you get will be different. You can then use those materials to craft a type of sword that will do boosted damage depending on the type made. The wooden sword is the weakest, followed by stone, iron, gold and diamond. Diamond is the one that most people will want to aim towards, as it is considered the most powerful, while gold cause more fast attacks but lower durability. This shows just some of the different ways that this character is unique from a lot of other fighters, as its attacks will be based on weapons gained. The crafting element is done with a crafting table, that can be spawned to Steve and Alex using shield plus the B-button. The crafting table can also be broken but will spawn soon after.

  • Block Creation and its limits.

Steve and Alex both have the ability to make blocks in the air, however this is limited in its ability. Depending on the material used, the blocks will have a limited durability. Either way, its recommended not to use them on the edge of the stage that much, as all blocks break easily if you climb on them in general, but especially on the edge.

  • The stage: Minecraft World and its six biomes and the music included.

The stage included with this fighter is Minecraft World and consists of six biomes: the plains, the birch forest, the savanna, taiga, and the snowy tundra. Each of these are chosen at random for a match and have different platforms and setups of blocks on the stage. The music included with Steve consists of 7 songs, each from Minecraft spinoffs, as the original game doesn’t have more calming music.

  • Mii Fighters skins round #7

So, who’s not getting a character in Smash today? Let’s see we have the creeper from Minecraft, the pig from Minecraft, as well as the pig and Diamond Armor for the same game. Then we have the tower of Druaga’s Gil, who is a returning mii costume from Wii U, Bomberman is getting a mii fighter costume, and Travis Touchdown from NO More Heroes gets a Mii costume. They will be available on October 13th, the same day as Steve and Alex, for 75 cents each.

  • New Amiibo coming in 2021.

Banjo and Kazooie, along with Terry Bogard and Byleth, will have amiibo launched in 2021. That will be all the different DLC Fighters by next year with their very own amiibo.

There are still four fighters left to be revealed for the Fighters Pass Vol. 2. Who do you want to see come to the game? Be sure to let me know.
